FROM CANVAS TO FLOWERS
A work of a restless genius transformed into a floral meditation. A simplicity that conceals a many-layered story. A flower whose beauty lies in intricate detail. Take a closer look
at the work of Adela Strimbeanu, designer and founder of the wedding agency Holubica.
In our floral series, Adela‘s inspiration stems from immortal works of art. This time, the choice fell on Vincent van Gogh‘s series of iris paintings. For the Dutch master, painting
landscapes with irises was a form of therapy. Every one of them was created towards the end of his life, during his stay at the Saint-Rémy-de-Provence asylum. The final composition created by Adela soothes the soul; rippling green fabrics to suggest a meadow, accessories crafted from natural materials, and at the centre a single floral queen wrapped in delicate grass.
Here, calm and harmony are at home.
