SUSANA & ROBER
We reckon that Susana and Rober’s wedding brought more wedding photographers to Spain’s O Grove Peninsula than ever before in its entire history.
How come? Because the bride was a wedding photographer herself!
But before we get to the moment when the beautiful beach
became a cacophony of clicking camera shutters, let’s take a look at the preparations. “The wedding preparations were super fun and one
of the most beautiful parts of the whole process,” Susana says with a smile.
She stresses, though, that this might not have been the case if they hadn’t used the services of a wedding coordinator.
“She fully understood our concept and suggested amazing details that would never have occurred to us but were a big hit.” Their concept was:
relaxed, cool and full of love. No wedding traditions, just lots of great
music and good food and drink in the company of friends and family in a venue that offers the best of Galicia – amazing views and sunsets, the best cuisine andlegendary concerts. Susana is lucky enough to have been
involved in weddings for a long time, and Rober once worked as a wedding DJ – so choosing suppliers was no problem. Many of the suppliers are also friends of the bride and groom. Even so, they had to be booked a year in advance,
because the date they chose was at the very beginning of June, when the wedding season is already in full swing. The long, hot days bring everyone to the sea on the Iberian peninsula, and the late sunsets have a beauty not found anywhere else. The wedding revelry spread out from the Náutico de San Vicente music club onto the beach. The refreshments featured the best local produce, especially seafood and exclusive mixed drinks. Instead of cake, the wedding party enjoyed pizza. The bride and groom had their first dance to the music of a Cuban band, who were followed
by a rock band and then a whole succession of DJs!
Remembering the tears of joy, Susana is in no doubt that a wedding
is simply the best idea you can have: “It is a beautiful day when you feel overwhelmed by the love and affection of your loved ones. Seeing everyone
at the ceremony sitting in front of us, looking at us, smiling and getting excited was one of the most beautiful things I will always remember.”
