THE MATISSE EFFECT

A work of art imprinted into wild floral creations. Flowers that look as though they have just stepped off a canvas. This is precisely how Adela Strimbeanu, designer and founder of the Slovak wedding agency Holubica, works with her „material.“

She loves to draw inspiration from famous architects and artists. This time, she drew from the feelings and impressions evoked in her by the work of the French painting icon Henri Matisse, whom she encountered firsthand at the Matisse Museum in Nice. His collages, influenced by nautical themes, provoke not only through bold colour combinations, but also through an apparent simplicity that conceals a daring statement and  a desire to shock. There is one thing Adela undoubtedly shares with Matisse — the desire to always be one step ahead in her field. Her floral creations speak for themselves.
