Since I was a little girl, I've had the urge to beautify the space around me, to create and decorate. After 10 years of window dressing, showroom and event planning, I fell in love with flowers. They are perfectly aesthetic in their own right and a joy to work with every day. Under my floral studio, Daily, I create custom floral arrangements, decorate weddings and events, tie bouquets and twirl wreaths.  

What is your signature style?  

Rather soft to dreamy, with a touch of romance and tenderness. I also tie wild bouquets, but they must not be lacking bold flowers. I like to play with colours and create in a predetermined colour palette that I choose.   

Why weddings?  

I love weddings! (laughs) I believe that a wedding day is one of the most beautiful days of your life. And flowers can accentuate, highlight and frame it. 

We want to know more. Do you use local flowers or imported?  

I try to use as many Czech flowers as possible from organic farms in the season, and imported ones in the winter. Throughout the year I collect local natural plants to supplement the flowers. I always start from the design that I want to achieve or that the client requests.  

Favourite flower?  

It changes as the seasons change. The only one I have tattooed (so far) is a peony. (laughs)  

The season that inspires you the most?  

I draw inspiration from within rather than without, but I get my energy from the sun. So I vote for summer.   

Favourite holiday destination?  

Our garden with a lake in South Bohemia, overlooking the forest.  

Favourite book?  

It's like my favourite flower - it's always the one I have in my hand at the moment.  

Favourite film?  

Blade Runner.  

Favourite childhood fairy tale?  

My sister and I loved Bolek and Lolk.  

Favourite food?  

Good bread.  

What do you enjoy? (guilty pleasure)  

Sweets. And coffee. (laughs)
