BARTERED BRIDE

There was a stylish new addition to Prague’s cocktail scene at the end of summer 2024. Forbína’s location directly opposite the National Theatre makes it the ideal spot for a glass of something before a show or after – or for an elegant date. Combining the work of Olgoj Chorchoj design studio, illustrator Michal Bačák and designer Jakub Pollág, the interior is a blend of art deco and modernism. Distinctive chandeliers and a stone bar create a remarkable atmosphere. The drinks menu is inspired by the repertoire of Czechia’s preeminent theatre, so it’s no surprise to find a cocktail called Bartered Bride – an intense, creamy, dessert-like experience that embodies the romance and passion of classical opera.
