FROM TINDER TO ZIKMUNDOV
Photographer Honza said goodbye to his bachelorhood in our photo story in the last issue of MILE and now he's getting married! He met his bride-to-be Eva via Tinder and three years later they said "I do" in a meadow with a beautiful view. Forty guests watched the church ceremony. They all arrived early and had a great evening together - not to mention the wedding day. "Our good friend and great DJ, Petr Krejci, put on probably the best party of our lives, and that's really no exaggeration. When I was getting my suit and shirt dry-cleaned after the wedding, the lady said she hadn't seen this before," smiles Honza. The newlyweds unanimously say August 18 was the best day of their lives, and reveal the essential ingredients. "We invited the people we wanted, not the people we 'should' invite. We have an incredible group of friends around us. And the concept of the wedding was 'no concept'." "Because I'm in the wedding business as a photographer, we had a clear idea of what we didn't want. To not worry about unimportant things from our point of view and to really enjoy it," adds the groom. A year before the wedding, they booked a venue that met their expectations of perfection - that's why a few flowers they bought on the way to the wedding were enough as decorations. In advance, they arranged for a photographer, video and music, ordered rings, dresses and suits. The last couple of weeks were spent in spiritual preparation for the ceremony with the parish priest Sara. On the wedding day, the bride and groom let everything flow naturally. The food was served in the form of a buffet complete with barbecue, there was no seating chart, and instead of a precise list of wedding gifts, the newlyweds were happy to be surprised. Of the traditional customs, only a speech with a toast, the first dance and the cutting of the cake came up. "We didn't actually want one either, but our friend Leli made us a cake out of her best cupcakes and her daughter drew absolutely perfect figurines of the two of us on top during our couple photo shoot. All these details created a beautiful relaxed atmosphere," Eva and Honza conclude.
