Not far from Pardubice in the village of Srnojedy there is a farm with a shop with Monamy delicacies. Shop there for great homemade jams and check out the cakes with dried flowers, which not only look great but also taste delicious. Blood-red oranges bubble in a low, wide casserole, and dazzling orange mandarins with the intoxicating scent of lavender on the other pan. A feast for the senses. This is how it started six years ago - with novel combinations of jams and marmalades and joyful moments in the kitchen captured in jars. Three years ago, Mona Kořínková was asked by a friend to make a birthday cake for her daughter and another chapter began to be written on the farm in Srnojedy near Pardubice. If you are looking for an atypical wedding cake made from honest ingredients, you have come to the right place. Mona and her family will offer you first-class service, flavours that go perfectly together, inspiration from their travels and respect for the gifts of nature that they turn into a small miracle. Don't expect marzipan figurines, but a cake with flowers painted with cream, abstract structures or a unique cake decorated with dried flowers that Mona collects and presses herself, then carefully selects one petal at a time for each bride. If you make your way to Pardubice, stop by Monama's family-run café with outdoor seating, shop for edible gems in the small shop, and, starting in the fall, take a cooking class here. Under the kind guidance of Mona and experienced instructors from the ranks of professionals and foodbloggers, you will learn not only to bake sweets, but also bread, cook with herbs or prepare pearls of world cuisine.
