To create an event with photographers, for photographers about the craft of photography and marketing... This was the idea of the workshop, which was to be in real time, with real participants. By the beginning of 2021 it was clear that, like last year, there would be nothing until the summer, and so online took over.

"We were hoping to get rid of online meetings in 2021. We didn't get rid of them, on the contrary, we all kind of know what's in store for the long months ahead. Creative work is in the doldrums. People are in decline. And we all miss the drive. And so we take this workshop as creatives as an injection of creativity. For those of us planning it, it's a daily schedule we look forward to. To bring the creative spirit into your homes on May 5 and make you forget that the world is not right for at least 10 hours," say the organizers.

Who is the workshop for?

For all creatives with a camera who take photos and want to be inspired. For those who want a peek into the world of weddings. Or they are into street and don't quite know how to do it. Each of the speakers will give you something.

Is the workshop just for wedding photographers?

Definitely not. What all the speakers have in common is respect for the craft and working with creativity. Inspiration. All together they will show you how to look at photography from a slightly different perspective again.

How does it work?

Speakers from the Czech Republic will be live streamed from one location. Lectures of international guests will be pre-recorded and live streams from the Czech environment will be interspersed with recordings. For international guests that cannot be connected in real time, there will be an option to pre-record a Q&A so you can ask everyone anything you are interested in.

Who will be speaking at the workshop? Introducing the Origins Workshop team!

York Place Studios

Siblings Dom and Liam, who document weddings together. Their key element in their photos is humour. In their talk, the British Fujifilm X-photographers will show you how they work and how to document a wedding where literally nothing happens.

Lukáš Korynta

Lukáš left a promising career in the Czech Republic to pursue his dream of living and working legally in America. He chose Portland, Oregon as his new home. In his lecture you will learn not only how to find something interesting to shoot in every place.

Dalibora Bijelic

Dalibora has her roots in Olomouc as well as Rijeka. She lives and works in Croatia, but you can meet her as a lecturer in Olomouc. She focuses on intimate and secret weddings. In her lecture she will reveal what 10 years of shooting weddings has taught her. She will tell why honesty is essential for her work. How it's important to have your own way and why the job of a wedding photographer is not about perfection.

Honza Martinec

Honza loves weddings. Formerly a corporate guy and now a wedding freak and lecturer who tries to inspire and motivate others further too.

In his talk, he will show you why capturing the atmosphere is a top priority for him and how important it is to stay yourself.

Khiria

Under the brand name Khiria, Eliška Fischer is hiding. A Fujifilm ambassador who shoots weddings all over the world. Her journey has been shaped mainly by her studies in photography.

Marek Sybal

Marek's domain is portraits of people who love each other. The intimacy of his portraits will captivate you. Marek started photographing couples more when he lived in Tenerife. In his lecture he will tell you how to prepare the couple before the shoot to achieve intimate photos.

Martin Faltejsek

Martin's work is divided into three main sections: artistic self-portraits, commercial and weddings. He manages to combine everything he enjoys well. Martin's entry will be full of where to get the right inspiration. How to see the unseen and how to use any weather and situation for photography.

Jana Kupčáková

Jana is a street photographer. Her eye captures incredible details. She has been a street photography instructor for a long time and has also won several awards in this category. In her lecture she will explain how to be able to look and be creative.
