MILE DAY & NIGHT - EVENT

UNDER THE SIGN OF CHAMPAGNE.

Not everyone is a fan of weddings, but when you find out you're going to be parents, a lot can change. Petra is an architect originally from the Czech Republic and had a long-distance relationship with her French boyfriend Antoine and then many years of living together. The proposal, which came a few days after she told her boyfriend the happy news, took her by surprise. The newlyweds then went to get the engagement ring together, literally from the stove, but they did not miss the party, they arranged it for their friends a little later. The wedding was also held twice. The first time as a formality at the office with only witnesses and immediate family, this before the birth. The second time, a party was prepared with everything and a little daughter was among the wedding guests. The date of the wedding was chosen on the tenth anniversary of their acquaintance and the choice of place fell on France, more precisely on the beautiful Champagne, where part of Antoine's family and especially his grandmother of blessed age came from. The celebration was marked by the drink that comes from this part of France. The champagne was flowing - but we had plum brandy to complement it. The bubbles were also reminiscent of the balloons hanging from the ceiling in the banquet hall, but otherwise the decoration was minimalist, as was the bride's bouquet made entirely of green leaves. As Petra laughingly recalls, she even ended up forgetting it in a vase before the ceremony. And how did the newlyweds cope with the fact that they had already attended the actual ceremony? "We asked six of our good friends to animate the ceremony for us. They took great care and it was one of the most beautiful moments of the whole wedding for us. We were very touched by it. At the end we exchanged wedding vows and rings." The wedding was organised by the newlyweds themselves. Fortunately, the far-flung catering and some of the accommodation was available right on the farm, so Petra is pleased that everything went well and that she and her husband were able to enjoy the moment on their wedding day.
