FATE WILL FIND A WAY.
Sophie and Nick's wedding is proof that even the most careful plan can take an unexpected turn. And that it can all turn out so much better. But let's start at the beginning. The young American couple had their first date in July 2014, when they were both still students. Their shared study experiences tied them to Florence and Tuscany, Italy. Five years later, they have also chosen this charming part of the world as the place where they want to propose to each other, even though America is a hotbed of the world. "Traveling is an important part of our lives, we love Italy and wanted our loved ones to stay with us longer than just on our wedding day," the engagement couple agreed. The wedding date fell on the exact day of their fifth anniversary. Since they planned the wedding, including all the details, from afar, the fiancés didn't want to leave anything to chance and had the venue chosen practically right after the engagement. However, nearly a year of preparations came to nothing when the original location was hit by a serious gas pipeline accident. Fortunately, Italy offers countless wonderful options. All was saved by Villa Barberino, which worked like a miracle: stunning lake views, friendly staff and just the right number of rooms to accommodate all guests for several nights! When everything comes together so beautifully, perhaps one should believe in fate. Relatives and friends from various parts of the United States including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Montana and Utah descended on the fabulous villa. For some, it was their first trip outside the US and the wedding had the hallmark of a truly unique, intimate experience.
