WINTER, ŠUMAVA, SKIING.

When you grow up in the mountains and compete in skiing (like the groom Jirka) or teach skiing to small children (like the bride Veronika), you have a completely different relationship to winter and snow than individuals from the lowlands, who at least feel respect for this body of water. A February ski wedding was therefore a natural thing for this active couple, following their engagement under Mount Cook in New Zealand. All the preparations, in cooperation with coordinator Lenka Láskočaska and her husband Radek, who was behind the camera lens, led to a beautiful celebration of love that was enjoyed by all 150 participants. The words "winter wedding on skis" describe the whole day. The ceremony took place at the end of the ski slope at Špičák. First, the groom and the groom-to-be went to the top on historic skis, the bride and her bridesmaids, bridesmaids and parents rode the cable car. "We took pictures and it was so nice to be with those closest to us. Then we all went down to the church ceremony site where more guests were waiting. The celebrant, Tomas Hasmanda, added immense strength to our yes and vows. Thanks to him, the ceremony hit us more deeply than we expected - as did the week-long honeymoon to Tenerife right after the wedding. Taking the time to experience all the emotions is important," Veronika points out. On a more pragmatic note, the floral arrangements, with the working title of bushes, consisted of twigs and grasses, and the biggest food hits were cabbage pancakes and tartare, but there was also deer goulash and blueberry dumplings. Simply Šumava in a different way - and with love.
