MAIN SCENERY, CITY OF BRNO.

Informal proposal in a hotel room, wedding preparations that required no more than a month of time, no complicated organization and the main backdrops city of Brno. This is what the wedding of designer Zuzana and architect Ondrej looked like dressed up for 350 guests. The couple, who live with their young daughter Josefina in the Moravian capital, wanted to have lots of friends at their wedding, including their children, and not complicate the wedding ceremony for anyone involved with complicated transfers. "We quietly gathered with our closest family before the ceremony, sat for two hours, had my favourite food, and toasted each other," says Zuzana. The church ceremony took place at St James's Church, where the groom's grandparents were married, and then everyone moved to the courtyard of the Viceroy's Palace, less than two hundred metres away. Andrew's architectural studio is working on its renovation, and the wedding party became a nice demonstration of how to bring a baroque palace to life. "The final result was created in cooperation with the garden architect Zdenek Sendler (father of the bride, ed.) and his wonderful colleagues Lucie Radilová, Radka Táborová and Barbora Kubicka," says Ondřej. The architects went outside Brno and picked what was growing. The bare courtyard was transformed into a green space in a single day, which was subtly complemented by meadow flower arrangements. The bride's dad reminisced about his own wedding and, just as he had once done for his bride-to-be, he now wove a bouquet of meadow flowers for his daughter. The newlyweds also followed tradition in choosing a typical candle, taking a group photo in front of the church, throwing the bouquet and cutting the wedding cake. "The whole day had a few points that everything stood on, no complicated organisation was needed and everything worked. It was one of the most beautiful days of my life," praises Zuzka. "What I liked most was the decoration, the contrast between the traditional ceremony and the relaxed party, and of course the bride," adds Andrew with a laugh.
