The recently renovated Almanac X Alcron Hotel has more to offer than just peace and quiet, though. There’s also plenty to discover. And no wonder, this is one of the marvels of interwar Prague, whose name was synonymous with la crème de la crème. The Alcron was built in the early 1930s by Alois Krofta, an architect and visionary hotelier in one. He chose a location a few steps from Wenceslas Square and made it a legend. In its heyday, the Alcron was considered Prague’s top hotel, and its current reincarnation is proud to take on this glorious mantle.
